"Hi, My name is zoey. I am about 3 years old and full of life. I was bought from a pawnshop, by someone who lives in TX, and given to my new temporary home for rehab. Here I have learned how to play, what the outdoors feels like, and even fly! I love to be as close to my handler as possible. I am still learning how to trust new people, but I love being near family.
Most of my life, I had lived in a very small cage with another Blue & Gold Macaw that took all my food and tried to hurt me. Now I have my own space with know one to hurt me! I love to walk around on the floor and watch my mom make me dinner. Sometimes I tickle her toes and call them crackers. I love being out side, and learning how to fly. If you let me, I will sit next to you all day and talk with you.â€
Hello,
This is a very sweet girl. The previse owners had traded in 2 Blue and Gold Macaws (male and female) that he had intended to breaded, for cash to a pawn shop. Joey (the male) is a bigger Macaw and had much more weight on then Zoey. But now Zoey is full of energy, very funny, and has put on good weight.
Is good around people, other birds, small children, and larger breed dogs.
Has been seen by an Avian Vet and have been tested for her Sex and disease. All checked out with good health.
Her diet is Harrison Pellets, fresh fruit and veggies.
Is hand trained, and has a very gentle spirit.
You will be required to have 2 at home visits after rehoming.
She will require min 4hrs of attention, 1hr of handling, and 30min exercise daily. Requiring outside exercise and outings. She will be introduce to a flight harness soon. Her wings were clipped but some have already grown back in
