Tail was dock to AKC Standards, dewclaws were also removed by a veterinarian in Wyoming. For black Standard Poodles they do not all stay black. They change color up to 2 years old, sometimes a little longer. They will stay in the color ranges of their parents. They usually turn silver, a blue or grey. The mom Capolina is considered a Blue. The dad Pepper is a brindle.
